The first Strands International Short Story Competition is open for submission from August 21st.
First Prize: $ 500
Second Prize: $ 100
Third Prize: $75
The first prize winner will be published in the February 2017 issue of
Lakeview International Journal of Literature and Arts.
All winners and shortlisted writers will be considered for publication in the
Strands Four Elements Short Fiction Anthology
in 2017, featuring winning stories from a series of competitions.

You can explore the theme in any way you like.
A physical/ metaphorical 'fire' presented in a memorable way could be enough
to make your story eligible for submission.
The competition is open to writers from around the world.
The stories you submit have to be originally written in English.
Entry Fees: $ 8 / € 7.15 / £ 6.15 per story
